The Budget & Property Committee is a standing sub-committee of the ConVal School Board. It is comprised of not more than 5 members: a Chairperson, and District level administration. Members and Chairperson are appointed annually by the Chair of the School Board.
The roles of the Budget & Property Committee include:

Long-range budget planning that balances quality schools and fiscal responsibility

Utilize the annual school budget preparation process as a means to improve communications within the schools and the community

Work with district administrators to prepare a budget that provides adequate resources to maintain the District’s programs and facilities

When necessary, recommend the approval of capital expenditures and special warrant articles to full Board

Adopt and present guidelines and a schedule for the timely submission of the budget to the Board and the public

Review and recommend to the full Board any changes in ConVal District policies pertaining to facilities, fiscal management, and other applicable areas

Study and make recommendations on specific applicable concerns referred to the committee by the School Board

Make reports as necessary on the outcome of each sub-committee meeting

Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Chair of the School Board
The Budget & Property Committee typically meets on the second Tuesday of every month.
